How Loop works

A client, the people who care for them, and the agency between them. Here is the shape of a day.

  1. The agency sets up the client

An agency adds a client and the people around them: the family contacts, the caregivers on the case, and the staff who coordinate.

  2. Each client has channels

A family channel holds the family, the caregivers and the agency. A care team channel holds staff only. Both belong to that one client, so nothing crosses between clients.

  3. Messages to family are checked first

When a caregiver writes to a family channel, the message is read before it sends. Most go straight through. One that reads as medical advice is held, and the agency picks it up. Care team channels are not screened.

  4. The shift note goes out twice

After a shift, the caregiver writes what happened. Loop drafts a family version and a care team version. Staff review them, and the family version is sent when it is right.

  5. Open shifts move through the Exchange

A caregiver who can't cover a shift posts it. Other caregivers put a hand up, the poster picks one, and the agency can see where it landed.

  6. The agency can see the whole picture

Staff see the clients they cover, what is waiting to be sent, and what has been raised. That is what the app opens on.
